When I saw that it was within one of the final score I thought "no f-ing way!" Actually, it came down to the second tie breaker:
"At the end of the game, if two or more players finish with the same overall point total, the following system will be used to break the tie:
1. Closest to the total points scored by both teams in the final game
2. Closest to the total points scored by the winning team in the final game ... ."
The top three brackets were within 1 of the final total of 161, but "why try" was also within 1 of NC's final score of 89 while crazy and pace both predicted the winner would score only 83. That was the difference between $5K and zilch.
